A FAMILY HOUSE
The villa was gifted to our ancestor Santina back in 1891 and has been called after her ever since.
La villa Santina is a family house - a place where each generations have spent their summers. The memories and all the people it reunited through the years live on in the trees that were planted, the fixing up of the furniture or the paintings hung on the walls. More than a typical venetian villa: it is a place to gather, to create, to play and drink and eat. We love bringing people together, the garden becomes the stage of everything we can imagine and the large porch a safe haven during the warmest summers.
Today, a new offspring is taking its first steps on the pebblestones, inspiring us to keep this cherished place alive for many years to come.

NATHALIE
A few years ago, I decided to move to Italy and make my home in La Villa Santina. Here, I built my atelier and began creating from a place surrounded by the garden, the changing seasons, and the traces left by those who lived here before. I create small collections of handmade objects.
I am a product designer born and raised in Switzerland. Over the years, I found myself drawn away from industrial production and closer to the artisanal process of making objects by hand. I became increasingly interested in the time, care, and imperfections that give meaning to the things we live with every day. My work is inspired by the quiet beauty of everyday life: the colors of the garden, the textures of weathered surfaces, the light moving through the house, and the rituals that unfold within it. Each piece is shaped slowly by hand, carrying the marks of the making process and a connection to the place from which it comes.
La Villa Santina is both a home and a source of inspiration—a place where family history, craftsmanship, and daily life continue to intertwine.

A LIVING GARDEN
The green space surrounding the house is a joyful celebration of nature - it is a living testament to the passage of time. The oldest trees have watched us grow, just as they once watched over our ancestors. Constantly evolving, it shelters life within and around it where plants, birds, and small creatures coexist in harmony. Every plant we nurture or harvest is tended with respect for the environment and the delicate balance that sustains it.
A RESOURCEFUL VENUE
The atelier is the newest addition to the villa - a space dedicated to creation and sharing. Here, workshops, courses, and moments of inspiration come to life. The atelier hosts the villa’s own workshop, where ceramics are made by hand and the signature ‘Santina’ products are thoughtfully packaged. It stands as a place where creativity and craftsmanship meet, carrying forward the spirit of timeless simplicity that defines the villa.
